During his career in public service spanning nearly forty three years, he was in the Indian Administrative Service, and prior to that on the the faculty of IIT, Madras, and post retirement from the IAS presided over the Gujarat Civil Services Tribunal. Thanks to his experience in diverse domains he has distinctive qualities - thoroughness of an academic to study any matter in depth, administrative acumen for creative problem solving, and ability to interpret and evaluate issues on their merits. He has a rich experience inter alia in the infrastructure sector including energy and power, ports and transport, and geology and mining wherein his major contribution has been in conception and execution of PPP projects, managing complexities of long term contracts, and innovations like transparent selection of employees through computerised tests, reverse bidding in procurement and e-governance services to citizens.
A masters in German he also completed MBA, LLB and a PG Diploma in Ecology and Environment.
A Graduate and Masters in Law, Masters in Political Science, Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and Diploma in Fashion Designing, she has during her long and diverse career spanning over thirty six years in academicia teaching political science and law, and almost two decades in legal profession, experience of dealing in fields as diverse as International Relations, International law, Service matters, Banking law, Consumer Protection etc.
Mentorship and guidance to the students inculcating in them her intrinsic values of : high ethics and probity, diligence , meticulousness, thoroughness and an eye for details, single minded determination, ability to simplify complex issues and devise easy and alternate solutions through creative and innovative methods.
Her versatility and creativity finds expression in Fashion Designing. She has also pursued her passion for Hindi literature, with myriad publications and awards to her credit.
